STORM CHASE TOURS : LOCAL TOURS
Near Agate, Colorado August 9, 2004 |
We are now offering LOCAL storm
chasing tours! Do you live within a few hours of Denver or can get
to Denver on short notice? Can you only get away for a day at a time
or are not interested in being on the road overnight to chase
storms? We have THE answer! |
Local tours will be conducted from
Denver, Colorado as conditions warrant. This could occur anytime from
late March through October each year! I will maintain a roster of
everyone interested and provide a 24 hour notice of the potential for a
local (1 day) chase. I will contact each person and let everyone know
where the potential chase will be, what type of weather to expect
(supercell thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail, squall line, etc), and when
we expect to be back to Denver that night. Keep in mind that LOCAL
doesn't mean will be confined to Colorado! We could travel to South
Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle on a 1 day
chase! We will go as far as we need to go to get the best storms
available that day. It is my job and DESIRE to get us on the BEST storm
we can be on!
To sign up for a local tour, please
email me, Roger Hill at
rogerehill@earthlink.net or me at 720-273-3948 and express your
desire to chase. Or you can fill out
THIS FORM
and mail it in.
ATTENTION:
We also now offer Hurricane Chasing Tours! This is a
one of a kind opportunity to experience first hand what it is like to be
in a hurricane! I promise it is an experience you will never forget!
Email or call me for details. Check out our 2005 Storm Chase logs for
video on what it is like to experience a hurricane where we were
fortunate enough to be at GROUND ZERO for Hurricane Katrina and
Hurricane Rita!
Again, I will keep a roster with everyone's name, email address and
phone number, and will contact each person at least 24 hours ahead of
time to let you know what conditions to expect the next chase day. COST
OF A LOCAL TOUR BEGINNING AND ENDING IN DENVER, COLORADO ON THE SAME DAY
IS ONLY $200 PER DAY. We were forced to increase the price due to
the skyrocketing price of fuel.
